Effective communication is instrumental to any organizational initiative. It is essential to a change effort. Since many people think of change as disruption or loss, it becomes critically important to give them as much meaningful information as they can absorb.
While frequent, effective communication is an indispensable component of change management, it should not be the singular focus of change management. It is but one ingredient of the change management approach which includes meaningful engagement in all the activities and events identified in the change management plan.
